It’s that time of year when everyone is getting ready for the fire in the fireplace and upgrading or changing their look! Happy this project turned out well and the home owners loved it! #woodworking #mantles #oldbarnlook

Hey Chica Sign

Made a 4×8 sign out of plywood on a 4×4 CNC router. Has anyone tiled anything similar on their CNC routers? I’m curious about what sort of large projects people are doing on smaller CNC routers. This project had a learning curve and the setup took more thought than usual.

Manual, 4wd and a real handbrake A rarity in 2019

I’m having a hard time finding a car/ truck that fits the following criteria, wether new or low mileage used.
Im 25 and live in New Hampshire and I currently own a ’05 Subaru Impreza Hatch, and I can say for certain I don’t want another Boxer engine. Rough roads are normal for my day to day, and in the winter we are usually snowed in. Making AWD was a true asset. Im always using the cargo area of my subaru for something, wether woodworking items, kayaking gear, or road trips.

These are the following things I would prefer on my next vehicle. Arranged in High priority to least.
1. 6-Speed Manual Transmission
2. 4WD, AWD or if I have to Rwd
3. Mechanical hand brake
4. Real Gauges Cluster (RPMs and MPH at least)
5. Trunk/ cabin space, not cramped
6. Includes a Spare tire
7. Fog lights

Things I’ve tried so far,
-’17 Tacoma, Really did not enjoy the clutch and transmission, felt heavy & underpowered, what happened to light compact trucks?
-Ford Focus ST, really cramped, usable space was limited, and what’s up with the pedal positions? Lol, heel toe is a real stretch. Interior felt cheap.
-Corrola Hatch, steering felt like a Fisher-Price toy and I feel like the tech will eventually cause reliability problems.

Any help or suggestions would be apreciated!

Picked up some really nice quarter sawn sapele this weekend. This next project is going to be way out of my league. I have been wanting to make a guitar for years and I thought a ukelele might be a good starting project. Anyone know any good books, articles or videos on making instruments? #ukelelebuild
