Trika Yoga Studio

Facilitated by @bedminsterbid , myself and @tomhabben sat down to plan a sculptural art installation to enrich North Street.
We drew inspiration from the ivy growing across the building next-door to @trikayoga .
After many pints and a great deal of head scratching we created a unique process to realise our concept through a reclaimed oak and epoxy resin project.
Tom painstakingly hand cut every single tile to create the minimalist and unique ivy inspired shape. These tiles lay upon the curved frame which was designed to bring a natural aesthetic to the installation.
It was great to work with Trikka Yoga as they were so engaged with the whole design process.
If you like this project have a look @mrlaheys where we previously collabed.

Advice for applying walnutamptung oil finish

I’ve just gotten a delivery of walnut oil and tung oil and wanted to experiment with it comparing it to my usual finish tru oil.

Is there any advice on how to apply the two oils, or even better an article or video or two to look at?

Was thinking of a layer of walnut oil, let that dry and then apply several layers of tung oil. But of course I’m a bit uncertain about how much time in between coats, sand paper (600?)somewhere after X amounts of coats etc etc.

Any tips and recommendations would be very appreciated ๐Ÿ˜Š
