I was having a tough time finding a 19.25" wrist rest for my beloved Model M. I also had a chunk of nice walnut left over from a project, and wanted to support my friends woodworking shop, so I commissioned her to shape the wood down. I also wanted to try out a finish I'd learned about, so there was that aspect. I think they turned out great.
